Comprehensive Eye Exams

Our comprehensive examinations have the goal of maximizing the comfort and clarity of your vision by detecting and treating vision disorders. Another goal is to detect any underlying condition(s) that may be caused by systemic health problems.

The most advanced technologies, such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), computerized visual field analysis, corneal topography, and digital fundus photography are used to diagnose and manage conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, maclular degeneration, corneal dystrophy/degeneration, high cholesterol, certain cancers, brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, stroke, and heart disease. Your pupils may be dilated to obtain a better view of the internal structures of the eye.

Contact Lenses

We prescribe a wide range of contact lenses to meet many different optical and/or cosmetic needs. Technological advances for astigmatism and bifocal correction (presbyopia), have allowed many patients to successfully wear contacts. Our kind, caring staff will teach any new contact lens wearer to successfully insert, remove, and care for their lenses. If you’re comparing contact lens prices, please keep in mind that our listed price does not include the mail in rebates that most companies offer. These rebates tend to change from time to time, but we offer any and all rebates allowed. Thus, the price you pay will most likely be less than our listed price! Our patients also enjoy some added “perks” when they buy their contact lenses from us. Please call us if you have any questions at (641) 228-1732

Progressive Lenses

Progressive lenses (or no-lines) are technologically advanced bifocals/multifocals without lines that help you achieve clear vision from near to far after the eye begins to lose it's ability to clearly focus up close (presbyopia); for most people, this begins to occur in their 40s.

LASIK Surgery

LASIK is an optional surgery for patients wishing to reduce their dependence on contacts and glasses. A surgeon uses a laser to shape the front surface of a patient's eye (the cornea) in order to focus the light coming into their eye. Certain conditions make a person a better or worse candidate for LASIK and we would be happy to discuss your particular situation with you. If you choose to proceed with LASIK, we will refer you to a trusted surgeon for your procedure and have you return to us afterwards for your post-operative care.
